The Local Governance and Community Development Programme- Phase II (LGCDP-H) is a national programme which is being implemented by theMinistry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) and supported by various development partners. The overall objective of LGCDP-H is to contribute towards the national goal of poverty reduction. The programme focuses on effective, equitable and sustainable service delivery through community empowerment, capacity development and policy reform to improve local governance. The programme covers both the demand and supply side of local governance reform. LGCDP-II is seeking applications from qualified, talented and result oriented Nepalese citizens for the following positions:
Post Title: Public Procurement Specialist (NPPP HI)
No. of position: One
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Duration: Annual contract and extended based on performance
Job responsibilities: The PP Specialist is responsible for: identifying and reporting procurement-related risks and issues to the PCU and support discussion on mitigation actions in the bi-monthly output group meetings; support PCU in organising output group meeting and follow up on agreed actions; take a lead role to provide policy and programmatic advice to MoFALD regarding all procurement issues; lead the process of drawing up any procurement plans related to LGCDP II implementation.
Qualifications and experiences required: Completion of Master degree in public administration, management, economics or related field; At least 7 years' experience of working on procurement related issues in Nepal; Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality reports on time; Experience of working in a national, government-managed, programme would be an advantage. Fluency in spoken and written in Nepali and English language.
